Macon Fact Check

After almost a year of new leadership at the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority (MBCIA), the first new jobs announcement was made on Monday, June 4, 2018.  But are the jobs new?

These jobs are replacement jobs for the HAECO workforce reduction and subsequent closure. The company may be new but the jobs will only replace the ones lost and not all of them.  Refer to the clips below.
